      net stop DoctorMeowMysql
    • Backup all the DoctorMeow directories
DoctorMeow Web Server: c:\Program Files (x86)\DoctorMeow

    • Start the DoctorMeow services, database first
      net start DoctorMeowMysql
      net start DoctorMeow
  3. In a low-resource environment
    • Identify the most recent internal database backup located in this directory: c:\Program Files (x86)\DoctorMeowDatabase\backup
    • Copy the most recent backup file externally

The WebClient download fails immediately or after a few megabytes are transferred.

The most common reason for which the WebClient download fails is Anti-Virus (AV) software. The AV software running on the client detects the HTTP download of an EXE and kills it. To work around this problem, disable your AV, download the WebClient, then enable your AV. Trend Micro Security Agent is known to intercept the download of any EXE file and the browser reports it as a "Network Error".

Some browsers block the downloading of EXE files, but give you an option to "download anyway". Google Chrome version 27 downloads the EXE file, but then recommends that you Discard the download.

Click on the down-arrow and select the option to Execute or Open the installer.

How does the Pebble work?

The Pebble communicates with DoctorMeow via the httpebble app running on your phone. This means that in order to communicate, the Pebble must be within Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) range of your phone. BLE should be able to travel up to 160 feet, but with walls, battery life, and other factors, the effective range is lower. Using an IPhone 4S, the Pebble can be as far as 30 feet from the Phone, with a few walls in between. If you are using the Pebble in a larger practice or office, you may have to carry your mobile with you in your pocket.
